The author is a recently-retired insurance claims professional, having worked in the property and casualty insurance industry for thirty-five years, with twenty-one of those years as a claims manager with a large property & casualty insurance carrier.

He was active in the claims community in the Southeastern United States for many years, having served as an inter-company arbitrator for twenty years, as well as active in state claims associations and claims management associations.

As a seasoned claims professional, with a wide range of hands-on experience as a multi-line claims adjuster and as a multi-line claims manager, his experience, professional accomplishments, and his observations over thirty-five years served him well in preparing this much-needed handbook for policyholders and claimants.
